2018

The Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) is a professional tournament format system of Dota 2, a competitive five-on-five video game.It was introduced in 2017 by the game's developer, Valve, to determine which teams are eligible to obtain a direct invitation to The International, the premier annual tournament for the game produced by them. The DPC replaced the former Dota Major Championship series (2015. The first player in the list is the up-and-coming star player, Yawar “YawaR” Hassan.

2019 was a fabulous year for Dota 2 teams. Just The International 2019 alone offered a prize pool of over $34 million. Add to that the Majors, Minors and all the other events, and you’ll start to get a glimpse into how much Dota 2 teams made this last year.
In this article, I will take a look at the Dota 2 team rankings for 2019 from an earnings standpoint. What I want to know is which are the 10 teams made the most amount of money.

OG

Quite easily, the number one team in our Dota 2 team rankings for 2019 has to be OG. Even though they only won a single tournament, that trophy was worth over $15.6 million.

It’s hard to understand how a competitor as good as OG can miss the entire regular season and only get a 5th – 6th place at one of the five Majors, but their ability to perform when it truly matters is second to none.

It's the division in which you have played the most ranked games in the past 21 days. (In case of a tie, we use the division that has the more recent match.). Europe & CIS Ranking. Total prize money earned: $11,547,022. A team from Romania has obtained the first profit playing Dota 2 in the year 2012. According to yearly performance analysis, the year 2016 was the most productive for the Dota 2 teams from Romania with $42,137 in prize money shared. The most dynamic year was.

Team Liquid

The second competitor on our list has got to be Team Liquid. And that’s because in 2019, they played in two Major Grand Finals and the TI Grand Final. The sad part is that they lost all three of them. The good part is that Dota 2 has such impressive prize pools that even the runner-ups get rewarded with piles of cash.
In 2019, Liquid managed to make more than $5 million from events alone. Keep in mind, however, that the roster responsible for this achievement is gone now. They’ve made their own team, called Nigma. The current Liquid team is completely different.

PSG.LGD

PSG.LGD didn’t have the best possible regular season, ending in 6th place after five Majors in which they showed a lot of consistency but failed to reach the top 3. The team did, however, perform better than expected at The International 2019 and finished the tournament in 3rd place. And with that performance, their earnings for the year skyrocketed. In total, PSG.LGD made over $3.4 million. Their biggest problem was the temporary loss of fy, their captain, and the loss of QQQ, their coach. But now that fy is back, PSG.LGD is expected to start performing well again.

Team Secret

Team Secret won the second Dota Pro Circuit (2018 – 2019) with 14,400 points and got a lot of money in the process. Normally, they would be the number one team in this Dota 2 team ranking for 2019, if The International got excluded. In total, Puppey and his squad made over $3.05 million. Most of that money came from finishing 4th at The International 2019, 1st at The Chongqing Major, 1st at MDL Disneyland Paris Major, 1st at ESL One Katowice 2019 and 1st at ESL One Birmingham 2019.

Vici Gaming

Another team that impressed in 2019 and managed to make a lot of money is Vici Gaming. This Chinese powerhouse won two Majors and finished 5th – 6th at The International 9. In total, they earned around $2.33 million.

TNC Predator

On this Dota 2 team rankings, TNC Predator scores pretty high. And that’s because the SEA team had one of their most successful seasons in 2019. They finished 1st at Asia Pacific Predator League, 1st at WESG 2018-2019, 4th at ESL One Mumbai, 5th – 6th at ESL One Birmingham, 4th at EPICENTER Major, 1st at ESL One Hamburg, 1st at MDL Chengdu Major and 9th – 12th at The International 2019. In total, TNC Predator made around $1.82 million.

Evil Geniuses

EG had a reasonably good year in 2019, finishing 3rd at The Chongqing Major, 3rd at MDL Disneyland Major, 4th at MDL Chengdu Major and 5th – 6th at The International 9. The total amount they made is quite impressive, considering the fact that they didn’t win anything. Not a single title won and yet their earnings were above $1.65 million.

Virtus.pro

Top Dota 2 Teams 2018

Like it’s customary by now, Virtus.pro was very dominant in the Dota Pro Circuit and finished 2nd with 13,500 points. And then they messed up at The International, finishing 9th – 12th. Still, in spite of this setback, the CIS organization made quite a lot of money from Dota 2 events in 2019. The total amount is somewhere around $1.2 million.
After their disappointing performance at TI9, VP lost three of its players and is now struggling to regain the strength it once had. Fortunately for them, one of the replacements is a world-class player, known as Resolut1on.

In 2019, Infamous did what no other South American team had done before. They got a top 8 finish at The International. In addition to this result, they also participated in two of the five DPC Majors, getting a 9th – 12th place and a 13th – 16th place. In total, this team earned close to $900,000 in one season, which is totally unprecedented for a South American team.
